Essentially Fall

It may not seem like Fall here in South Florida, but elsewhere in the Northern Hemisphere temperatures are on a downward spiral and evenings are getting chilly.

For me, Fall has brought new products to my Jordan Essentials line, that I am really excited about.

Let’s start with the Face Care Collection.

I love the face care kit, and I am thrilled that the products are now all available in “unscented”. Now our customers who are more sensitive can use this amazing system, without worrying about reacting to fragrance. The basic Face Care Kit is a wonderful value at $75. As always, you can choose your exfoliant and moisturizer. I recommend the Spa Polish for oilier skin and the Gentle Exfoliant for drier skin. My favorite moisturizer is the Deep Daily, which I use at night. In the mornings I use the new Acne Moisturizer – see below!

Jordan Essentials has added an Acne Treatment System, which costs $30. The kit consists of the Oatmeal, Milk & Honey soap, Acne Moisturizer (containing willow bark) and Spot Treatment Gel (containing salicylic acid). The kit also contains a face brush. When used together, these products help clear up existing blemishes and prevent further breakouts. As someone who has suffered from troubled skin for most of my adult life, I can attest to Jordan Essentials products really making a difference to my skin. These new products, specifically targeting breakouts, have added punch to the existing face care line.  They can also be purchased individually.

We have also introduced an oil-free, fragrance-free eye make up remover. Although our Gentle Cleanser  does remove eye makeup, this makes it really quick – simply put a drop on a cotton ball and swipe if over your lids.

Our incredibly popular “Time Rewind” has been reformulated and now contains Co-enzyme Q10, improving the wrinkle erasing performance of this already amazing eye cream. Considered one of our “serums”, Time Rewind is available alone for $30, or if you purchase it when purchasing the Face Care Kit, you can buy it for only $20. The size of the jar is enormous, and will last for months, even when used twice daily. You just can’t beat the price of this eye cream – recently I was accosted at a mall by someone trying to sell me an eye cream for $200! And that was their “special price” – for a jar 1/4 of the size… and ours really works!

The final addition to our face products for now, is the new Caffeine Eye Roller. The amazing product reduces puffiness and helps diminish the appearance of dark circles under the eyes. Packaged in a convenient tube with a roller, you feel the cooling effects as soon as it touches your skin. You can use this in the morning, and repeat during the day. The lovely thing I’ve discovered, is that even if you are wearing makeup, the cool gel will not smudge it. Your eyes will immediately look and feel better!

I don’t need soul. I need more business so I can pay my kids’ tuition! I am working like crazy promoting my products, and doing as much as I can (with 3 kids at home) to get more business. One suggestion I heard when I first started was to contact other Direct Sellers in the area who sell products that don’t compete with mine, and do a party “swap”. I will be hosting a Scentsy party at my house this Monday night at 8pm – you are all welcome! And my Scentsy rep, Erica, will be hosting a Jordan Essentials party at her home in Parkland on the 21st.

It’s win-win – we both get to present our products to a brand new group of people, and hopefully we each get some new bookings for future parties. I love what I do. I really enjoy the spa shows and the facial/makeup shows that I do. I love demonstrating the products even more now that I’ve been using them for 6 months, and I can say with 100% certainty that they are some of the best skin care products that I’ve ever tried. And if you know me, you know that I’ve tried a lot!

A lot of work goes into planning one of my shows, but the more shows I do, the more confident I am, and the more fun I have. I recently did a facial show where the hostess served wine & cheese. The more wine the ladies drank, the more fun they had with face masks and serums. Everyone wanted to be a model. And we laughed a lot!

I invite all of you to try something new. The Jordan Essentials face kit costs only $75, and includes all the basics you need – cleanser (complete with a foaming pump to put it into), exfoliant, toner, moisturizer and a clay mask that works wonders. You pick your exfoliant (gentle for sensitive or dry skin, spa polish for oilier skin) and your moisturizer, and it all comes in a great travel tote that is large enough to also add your other cosmetic items. In addition to the basic face care kit, you can add a serum or 3. Normally $25 each, if you purchase the kit, you can add the serums for only $20 each – Time Rewind Eye cream (extremely popular with my customers), Skin Firming Serum and Age Defying Serum. Even if you purchase everything, and throw in an anti aging mask for $10, you’re spending under $150. Considering the price of a cleanser and moisturizer can add up to close to that number in department stores, isn’t it time to consider a change?

I’m going to be 37 in 2 weeks. I’ll be celebrating my birthday in Dublin, for the first time in 19 years. Getting older doesn’t scare me, but I am making a conscious effort to keep my skin from aging along with my body. I never really used anti-aging products before, but now that I’m selling them, I feel the need to try them first. They work! I no longer have deep wrinkles around my eyes. The “Time Rewind Eye Cream“, used morning and night, seems to be taking care of those. I’m using an age defying serum at bedtime, which promises to erase wrinkles on my forehead and neck, and I admit that it seems to be making a difference. And during the day I use the skin firming serum, which seems to work like a mini face-lift.

I believe – I believe that everyone’s skin deserves to be nourished, and I believe that I have the products to do that, without breaking the bank!

More on Jordan Essentials

It’s been a few months now since I began using Jordan Essentials products, and since I became an Independent consultant for the company. Each time I try a new product I worry that I won’t like it as much as a product I’ve tried in the past. When you’re a skincare and makeup junkie, there’s always the thought that there might be something better out there…

Well I have to tell you, so far, there is not a single product that I have used that I don’t love. Not just like. Love.

I recently started using the shampoo, moisturizing formula. I love that it comes in a pump bottle, which makes dispensing it totally friendly, especially for the kids – one pump is enough for long, thick hair that is thoroughly wet. It is lightly scented with the signature oatmeal, milk & honey fragrance, making it suitable for all the family.

Along with summer, sunscreen season is here. The one thing I loathe about natural sunscreen is that it is thick, goopy, and leaves you looking white and smelling funny. Not this one. It contains both zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, and no chemical sunscreens. It also contains coconut oil, giving it a very gentle fragrance, but nothing so overwhelming as to say “BEACH TIME!!!!!!!!!” A little goes a long way, and it spreads easily. It’s not thick, more like a body lotion, and rather than leaving my skin looking white & sticky, it left my skin moisturized. I was out in the hot sun the other afternoon for a few hours and absolutely not one sign of a burn or even a hint of a tan on this fair, Irish skin. Double thumbs up! I can’t wait to try it on my eczema-prone children, who break out from all sunscreens not natural.

If you want to get a tan, but aren’t silly enough to sit outside without sunscreen on, you may want to try the sunless tanner. It’s available in 2 shades – one for the deathly pale and one for the slightly less fair skinned people.

Speaking of the kids, they’ve been enjoying the watermelon shower gel for a while now. It is so concentrated that despite all 3 kids using it, we have barely gone through half a bottle! They love the scent, it leaves their skin baby soft, and even my 2 sensitive-skin-can-only-tolerate-Cetaphil-children have benefited from using it.
